The Latymer Foundation at Edmonton is the charitable giving arm of the school and supports the education and welfare of students, staff and former pupils at the Latymer School. The current board of trustees is entirely made up of alumni, from a range of backgrounds and working across various sectors. Becoming a trustee of the Latymer Foundation at Edmonton is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference through a voluntary role while developing valuable skills. As a trustee, you'll help shape the future of the charity, supporting its long-term success and positive impact in our community. Beyond giving back, trusteeship offers unique benefits, including personal development, improved well-being and the chance to work as part of a diverse group of passionate individuals. You don't need prior specialist knowledge, just a commitment to contribute your perspective and skills. People of all ages and backgrounds are welcomed, including younger people who bring fresh ideas and energy, and parents of current students of the school. To support new trustees, mentorship is offered along with the opportunity to shadow experienced board members, ensuring you feel confident and valued in your role. Jamie Bolden, Class of 1999 and current Chair of the Foundation, tells us more: "After Warwick University I went on to a career in financial services, first qualifying as a chartered accountant at KPMG and then working in corporate finance at Gleacher Shacklock and PJT Partners. Having the chance to go to Latymer changed my life, as it has for many others and will for many more. I am delighted to play my part in helping the Foundation to support the school and its students both current and future. If you are ready to make a difference and want to explore becoming a trustee, I would love to hear from you. Just email us at latymerfoundation@latymer.co.uk and I'll be in touch." The Latymer School would like to thank all the former students who volunteer their time, as Trustees, Governors or speakers at various events such as the annual Careers Fair, the Lecture Series and UCAS seminars. |
