Senior Drama Production - Tickets on sale
Monday, 4 November 2024

On the 14th, 15th and 16th November, the school will hold its Senior Drama production with Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. As we approach the end of our 400th anniversary celebrations, students will bring a big, boisterous musical extravaganza to the stage to put a smile on your face!

From the Golden Age of the movie musical, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is set in Oregon, with music by  Gene de Paul, lyrics by Johnny Mercer and book by Lawrence Kasha and David S Landay. It tells the story of Millie, a young bride living in the 1850s wilderness. Her plan to civilize and marry off her six rowdy brothers-in-law to ensure the success of her own marriage backfires when the brothers, in their enthusiasm, kidnap six women from a neighbouring town to be their brides. This much-loved musical includes Bless Your Beautiful Hide, Goin' Courtin', Wonderful, Wonderful Day, and the dance spectacular, Barn Dance.
