"40 for 400" appeal

As mentioned at events throughout 2024, we have very exciting plans for the extension of the library, with building work starting in 2025. The plans comprise a spacious double-height study area and a series of group rooms, all nestled in the courtyard next to our current library.

This extension will provide:

  • Inspiring spaces to make learning a joy, with lots of natural light & materials and comfortable furniture.
  • Foster an inclusive learning environment to support self-directed study and collaborative group work.
  • Honour the heritage of the 1930s Ashworth Memorial Library and embrace state-of-the-art facilities.
We would like to say a huge thank you to the alumni who have already donated to this 400th anniversary project. Whilst the Latymer Foundation has secured the vast majority of the funding for the actual build, we are calling on current parents, former students and friends to support the library's fixtures, furniture & IT provision.

This December, we aim to raise £20,000 for 40 computers for the 400th anniversary library extension. These computers will benefit students, library staff and other departments (e.g. Languages).

Read more about the project and donate online on this page.

Together we can make "40 for 400" a reality and have a direct impact on the learning and teaching environment of current and future students for many years to come.

If you have any questions about the appeal, please email Beatrice Cami, Development & Alumni Relations Manager, at anniversary@latymer.co.uk.

Thank you very much in advance for any support you can give!
