Saying goodbye to some staff members
Monday, 5 August 2024

As another school year came to an end with much excitement for many, it did unfortunately mean that we had to say goodbye to some members of our staff. The following people have very sadly left us to for a well-earned retirement or to start exciting new journeys:

  • Denise Blackwell (retirement)
  • Sam Campaign (promotion at another school)
  • Alex Gow Smith (relocation)
  • Alice Hamilton (not returning after maternity leave)
  • Sylvie Koestlé-Cate (changing school)
  • Steven Lunn (retirement)
  • David Peacock (changing school)
  • Janak Subberwal and Gabriel Warren (both gap year students and class of 2023, who are now off to university).

A special mention must go to Denise Blackwell, who dedicated 50 years of service to the school, helping to always ensure that the finance department ran as a well-oiled machine. Denise was truly a pillar of the Latymer community, and we wish her all the best in her retirement, alongside Steve Lunn who will also be retiring after 16 years helping our students forge a pathway in maths.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every member of staff who has departed us for their hard work and the dedication they showed, and the imprint they left on the Latymer community. We wish all of them great happiness and fulfilment in their future endeavours!
